Advocating for Disability Rights in Kenya
Jonathan Rays of Hope (JRH) is a Kenyan Community Based Organization committed to advocating for the rights and inclusion of individuals with disabilities in rural areas. We strive to create awareness and drive meaningful, lasting change for vulnerable members of our community.
Our work focuses on improving access to education, healthcare, and food security, while promoting inclusive employment opportunities. We are dedicated to empowering individuals to live with dignity, independence, and equal participation in society.
MISSION & VISION
We are committed to providing comprehensive support through individualized education plan (IEP) guidance, therapy connections, and access to special needs educators and multidisciplinary teams.
Our services include online advocacy and one-on-one virtual sessions with parents, focused on empowering them with knowledge of early identification and appropriate intervention strategies.
We also foster strong support networks by connecting parents and caregivers with others who share similar experiences, promoting collaboration, shared learning, and self-advocacy.

Caroline is a dedicated special needs teacher specializing in supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. With over 10 years of experience teaching in a special education school, she is passionate about nurturing each child’s unique abilities and helping them thrive in a supportive learning environment.
Her work is centered on individualized learning approaches, patience, and compassion, ensuring that every child receives the care, guidance, and encouragement they need to reach their full potential.

Gipson is Occupational Therapist specializing in the rehabilitation of individuals with neurodiversity conditions in underserved and remote communities. He is dedicated to restoring functional independence through evidence-based interventions and emphasizes early identification and intervention. Gipson works closely with parents and caregivers, providing guidance and practical strategies to support children with neurodiverse needs. He currently practices at Rongo Sub-County Hospital and Saint Jonathan Rays of Hope.
